Hi everyone. So I'm pretty sure we all came to the same conclusion; that I'm really bad at blogging. Lol Well I'm sincerely sorry about that. My life is so exciting. I never stop in a place for over 5 days! I spent this summer flying out to Brazil to play in our winter tour for the first time. This way I still had some little money to provide. (I feel sorry for my fiancé who has been the most amazing supporter during this draught we had this summer, and I'm so incredible thankful for her) I played in Brazil with Vivian and we won the first two events, got one bronze and in the last event, Vivian got chicken pox and wasn't able to play. I got an upcoming player called Fabiola and we finished 4th. Not bad! Now it was time for the AVP! FINALLY! The AVP put up an incredible tourney and the fans really came out to have a great time! More exciting than playing, I think, was to have closed a partnership with Angie Akers. What a catch! ;) even tho we all knew Angie was coming back from knee surgery I just also knew she was my best fit. We started great, Angie was slowly getting back into rhythm. I think this was the first tourney where I didn't get served the whole time. We both got a good laugh at that! We played hard and had great times where we immediately saw our potential. We finished 7th but of course we wanted more! The Manhattan Beach Open was just around the corner. We hit the sand hard and worked on some individual technique (Angie worked more on blocking and I worked more on defense...) and soon we were waking up to play at the granddaddy of them all!! Angie and I started really well. Won our first match in 2. Then played against two other veterans and lost 21-19 double! Ugh! Well we knew we had then a long day ahead... we had three more matches on the deepest sand of volleyball history! I knew I was ready but stil... It's Manhattan Beach, don't let it fool you! We played so well. On our last match of the day to go to Sunday we played two young guns. They gave us a run for our money and won the first set. We came back and beat them nicely on the second. So stoked to go to three! Game was going good till we hit abt 7 points I think. I got aced on the chest, then a few setting errors put them 12-8. Oh man. We fought but ended losing. Lessons are being learned and we already practiced some of the things we need. We saw truly our potential as a team that day! We are so excited to keep training hard this week and at in the AVP Cincy this weekend! While I don't update here often. Please follow me on twitter and or on Facebook. It's easier to do auto updates! ;) See u at the beach! ;)
